Smart Voter Political Philosophy for April M. Terrell

Candidate for
Director; Boulder Creek Recreation and Park District; 2 Year Short Term

This information is provided by the candidate

The Board of directors does not need to work in total harmony and agreement. What it needs is members all dedicated to providing the most and best possible recreation to all segments of our community. I believe in constructive conflict. Where everyone has the same ultimate goals, disagreement can be not just productive but creative.

I pledge to attempt to direct all my efforts and passions to accomplishing the four major goals of a member of the Board of Directors:

1. Increase the number and quality of program offerings to the community.
2. Balance the budget by increasing income and decreasing expenses.
3. Protect the interest of the taxpayers of our district.
4. Safeguard the civil rights of the citizens to participate fuly in the business of this District.

In addition, my personal mission:
5. To make Boulder Creek Recreation & Park District a more vital and integral part of our community.

If we all stay focused on the real duties of the Board, then the free exchange of ideas can only benefit our District.
