As a concerned parent and past graduate of the district, I know that the district has been in better conditions physically and educational wise. As a board member I offer the following solutions:

  • Stability- Moving the district forward to meet the new challenges placed by the state and federal systems cannot be done until the district has positioned itself in a stable environment were teachers, administrator personnel, and parents feel that the past will not repeat itself in the new administration. Political bickering between board members, the continue change in policy and curriculum, and no internal system of measuring either student, or district improvements all have lead to chaos and a dysfunctional district, evident by high number of student loss, state mandates imposed on the district, as well as lawsuits. I offer the district, parents, and teachers, an end to this by the following core principles:
  • Unity of parents, teachers, administrative staff, and unions to a common goal-educating our children by the best and most efficient curriculum available, safe, effective, and appealing school campuses.
  • A return to a school district founding principle "Education of our children to become contributing members of our society." I propose to do this by returning to basic principals of supporting our teachers by ensuring that they have all the resources needed to accomplish this, and by supporting the district staff to support those same efforts.
  • Establishing a communication system to parents, teachers, administrative staff, and overall community in general on plans, budgets, and activities ongoing and upcoming that affect the district.
