This information is provided by the candidate

As a Board Member since 1993, I've been committed to improving student achievement for all our students. Let's continue our progress.

  • Improving the curriculum, stressing the basic skills of reading, writing and math, while keeping programs such as art, athletics and music for balance.

  • Using our system of student testing and accountability to measure our progress, against high standards. This gives teachers the information they need to help each individual student.

  • Providing teacher training and support to continually improve our classroom instruction.

  • Using sound management to put our dollars to work in the classroom, while holding central administration to a minimum.

As a husband, the parent of three children, a business professional, and an long-time active member of our community, I know how much we have accomplished in our District. I've learned what needs to be done to keep schools focused on students and student learning. I know the importance of talking with our community as partners in education. We can be proud of our progress, and I remain committed to continue that progress.
