Introduction Letter

By Ray Kwok

Candidate for Board Member; Berryessa Union School District

This information is provided by the candidate
A brief summary of my background and focus
My family moved to Berryessa 5 years ago because of the performance and reputation of the School District (BUSD). My sons (now 9 & 7 years old) have been enjoying the programs in Noble Elementary ever since. Over the past few years, I have been actively involved with community service in Berryessa. I will continue to dedicate my time and effort to work with the BUSD School Board, Administrators, Teachers, and Parents to continuously improve the quality of our children's education. As a School Board member, my focus will be on continuing improvement of academic excellence, campus safety and quality of our children's education; as well as promoting good citizenship in the school, in the community, in the country and of our planet Earth. To achieve that, I will support efforts in recruiting and retaining quality teachers; improving communications between parents and teachers; improving traffic conditions on campus; enhancing budget efficiency; soliciting additional resource and services from corporations and organizations nearby; and integrating programs of sports, music and art into our children's curriculum. In addition, I would like to set an example and encourage parental involvement in the school activities. Together, we can make a difference in our children's future. Thank you for your support. Please vote for Ray Kwok on Nov. 5, the Election Day.
