Trustee, Santa Clara County Board of Education, elected in 1994, re-elected in 1998. As a Board Member, I am responsible for overseeing the planning of an annual budget of approximately $200 million. In addition to reviewing and approving countywide educational issues submitted by the County Superintendent of Schools, I have also supported and testified for several statewide educational bills in the California legislature. I maintain a broad-based relationship with local school board members and administrators in Santa Clara County. I am recognized as the expert on the Board for budgetary and technology issues.
