I am honored to enter the General Election Campaign for the fall of 2002 as the top vote getter in the March Primary Election. I attribute my success to the voters in Santa Clara County who want a judge who is experienced, innovative and fair.

As a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County for more than 12 years, I have prosecuted dangerous felons to help make our community one of the safest in the US. I have had to make tough decisions to protect our community and yet not squander public funds by overcrowding the jails unnecessarily with drug addicts and the mentally ill who need treatment.

As a judge, I will continue to work in our community to keep juveniles out of the criminal justice system by emphasizing education, juvenile detention reform, restorative justice and role-model programs, especially for high-risk youths. I firmly believe in the adage "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Please join the overwhelming number of public safety officers, judges, elected officials, educators, business leaders, community leaders and lawyers who support my campaign for Judge.
