My wife and I have been married for 31 years; we have six children and three grandchildren. Our parents were immigrants from Greece, and English was our second language. We both learned English when we started school.

I was born in San Francisco, attended Bay Area schools, and served in the Marine Corps. As an adult, I've worked at a wide variety of occupations including laborer, logger, and technician. I've been with IBM for 21 years. I'm a "lifelong learner," have always enjoyed taking classes, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco.

Our children have attended San Ysidro, Brownell Elementary, Luigi Aprea, South Valley, and Brownell Junior High; five have graduated from Gilroy High. My wife and I have been very active in supporting Gilroy's schools and have participated in various study sessions and task forces.

We love Gilroy, want to see our grandchildren grow up here, and are strongly committed to driving improvements in the quality of education offered at Gilroy schools. I offer my service and experience as a parent, taxpayer, and lifelong learner to help make the District's motto "Excellence: The Path Worth Taking" a reality for all of our students. Thank you for your consideration.
