I grew up on the Peninsula and am a proud product of the public education system, going to public schools K-12. I went onto Harvard University and worked my way through college. Upon graduation,I returned home and settled in Mountain View with my husband and one year old daughter. I've dedicated myself to giving back to the community that gave me so much and to provide our children and youth with opportunities to succeed.

As your representative to the County Board of Education, I will work to ensure high quality student programs, enforce higher academic standards for all our schools, advocate for adequate educational funding for our schools, and enhance teacher recruitment, development and retention efforts.

I will strive to enhance communications between the County Office of Education and local school districts. I will build partnerships with community and business organizations to build a collective force in addressing educational concerns and funding issues. I will promote an understanding of and appreciation for diversity.

I would be honored to serve on the County Board of Education to make a difference for all our children. I respectfully ask for your support and vote.
