I help resolve community issues:

I have extensive experience in working with diverse groups to achieve constructive solutions to pressing community problems. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with numerous community organizations and with representatives of all levels of government. I have been involved in a variety of issues, including economic, land use, environmental, social services, solid waste, child care, recreation, flood control, farming, water, health, education, housing and telecommunications.

I helped create the following community assets and programs:

Cuyama Paramedic Services; Central Coast Winegrowers Association - Wine Industry Task Force; Dunes Center; Peace Week; Habitat for Humanity # Northern Santa Barbara County; Santa Maria Valley Sustainable Garden; YMCA Air Park (skate park; WOOF! PAC PARK (off-leash recreational area); North Santa Barbara County Women's Political Committee; Santa Maria River Levee Bikeway; Crossroads bikeway; Callboxes on Highway 166 from Santa Maria to Cuyama; Santa Maria River-to-Sea instructional materials; Lost City of DeMille fund-raising committee; Livable Communities Consensus Group; Santa Maria Valley Telenet; County Telecommunications team; Supervisor's Roundtables on Agriculture, Business, Seniors and Latino issues. Expanded transit services Santa Maria to Cuyama.
