Bee Jay Jones For Lompoc School Board

By Bernard "Bee Jay" Jones

Candidate for Board Member; Lompoc Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I have been a Lompoc Valley citizen for 10 years. I was born 45 years ago in Pleasanton, Ca., and I've been serving my country for the last 22 years, retiring from the Air Force as a Lt. Col. a year ago. I have directed numerous organizations, lead many people, and managed budgets, some quite large.

I am not an educator, but I am educated. I have a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Houston, 1988, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, 1978. I am not a politician either, but I am a parent. My wife, Sylvia Mack Jones, and I share seven children and two grandchildren. Two attend Lompoc schools currently. I am a member of the Cabrillo Parent Teachers Student Association.

My highest priority will be upgrading the school facilities into the modern and safe environment necessary for a quality education for our students.

I have the education, training, motivation, and desire to serve my community.
