This position requires a tremendous investment of time and energy to work on financial, staffing and facilities problems. Specifically I wish: 1)To return the hospital system to free-standing status responsible for its own destiny rather than being a step-child to a management comany that uses it personnel and cash for other financial adventures. 2)Offer a kinder and gentler work atmosphere with transparent pay and benefits schedules, equitable and couteous employee treatment so a career at our hospital is valued and worthwhile. 3)Focus the administrator's and staff's attention on long and short term patient-care and not allow them to be distracted by engaging in the banking, insurance and real estate businesses. 4)Encourage the Board of Directors to follow the By-Laws, established protocol, and remain unconflicted and serve our community selflessly. |
