Renting the new middle school gyms diminish the quality of life of residents
We need middle school gyms for our children. Renting them out to generate income is a bad idea which must be corrected.
Using children to raise money as unpaid sales staff is criminal.
It is even worse when the funds raised by each school are not even used by the school but are instead given to the district. State schooling should educate our children... not semd them into the streets to sell goods for the State.
The public should be encouraged to attend, observe and volunteer at school.
Public education should not be done in secrecy. Publicly the OVSD advocates parental involvement in their children's education. However, when a parent tries to become involved, they soon find that the OVSD policy restricts parental involvement to only two 30 minute pre-arranged sessions. This policy is effectively prohibits parental involvement
