Adequate Funding - Our high school district is facing a budget reduction of over 3 million dollars. This means that currently non-teaching staff are being deleted or having hours reduced, and programs directly affecting students are in danger of being eliminated. Our school board needs members who will fight Sacramento to get critical funds back in our district, and who will find creative ways to enhance funding for all areas of our schools, in order to maintain a safe and educationally sound environment for our children.

Staff Development- Attracting and keeping the best teachers depends not only on competitive salaries and benefits, but on providing continued education opportunities so that our teachers will always be at the top of their areas of expertise. Continuous training also needs to be available in the ever changing and advancing area of technology, for both hardware/software competence as well as optimum use of technology as a teaching tool.

Maintenance/Upgrades - It is critical that we maintain and upgrade our school sites - Not only physically for the sake of safety and comfort, but also in program and staffing areas.
