Candidate for
Council Member; City of Laguna Woods

Bette and I have been happily married for 46 years. We have lived in Leisure World for 14 years.

My credentials include: Orange County Senior Citizens Advisory Council - Housing Committee Chair; 2001-02 Orange County Grand Jury; former Golden Rain Foundation President; former Third Laguna Hills Mutual President; one of the three Chief Petitioners for the incorporation of Laguna Woods.

In September, 2001, I was appointed to the Laguna Woods City Council. As your City Councilman, I serve on the General Plan and Utilities Committees and represent our City on the Laguna Canyon Foundation.

I am:

• President of the California-Pacific United Methodist Foundation,Pasadena,CA and have served on its investment committee for 9 years. CPUMF develops the strategy and manages the investments for churches located in California and Hawaii.
• Treasurer of the Laguna Canyon Foundation, Laguna Beach,CA since June,1999, and a member of the Board of Directors since 1994. The Foundation's charter is to provide funds to protect, maintain and preserve of the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.
• Director of Unitek/Miyachi International, Ltd, Monrovia, CA since 1988. Unitek manufactures materials joining equipment used primarily in the electronics industry.
• Graduate of Lehigh University, 1955, with a B.S. in Engineering Physics.
