Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Christy A (Scheller) Riley

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Rancho Santa Margarita; 2 Year Short Term

This information is provided by the candidate

As your City Council Member I have:

Worked to help stop an international airport from being built at El Toro

Fought to keep a freeway corridor from Riverside County from running through Trabuco Canyon over O'Neil Park

Found funding to complete the building of the Banderas Bridge - a vital connection of our business community to the retail/town center complexes and which reduces emergency response times to the Trabuco Plano ares of RSM

Worked to increase our police presence by 45% - making Rancho the safest city in Orange County and the second safest in California.

I will work with my Council colleagues to complete a skateboard park and dog park - two highly desired elements in community surveys. I will continue to work with the community to fund the Inter-Generational Community Center, the heart of our City, and the servies it will provide to youth, seniors and families.

I will continue to dialog with diverse elements in the community-schools, businesses, HOA's and most of all citizens to maintain and create new programs to serve the needs of our youth-our greatest resource.

Look for new grants and programs that will help us to maintain and improve our natural surroundings, especially water quality.
