Our Police Department and Fire Department are vitally important for the protection and sense of security of our community

We have a great Police Department that works with the Community Policing Philosophy. I feel we must maintain the quality of our Police Department and that takes money. This is another reason I support the Utility Tax. My own daughter was unfortunate to be the victim of an attempted home burglary. Our Police Department not only arrived within minutes but were able to forward her description to neighboring cities and the burlars were arrested an hour later in Buena Park. This is the kind of protection we have and need to maintain.

I have the pleasure to serve as the Los Alamitos representative to the Orange County Fire Authority. I am proud to say that the service we get from our Station 2 on Green Avenue could not be better. Their response time for Emergency Medical Service and Fire Service is exemplary. The Firefighters participation at our schools and in our community teaching Fire Prevention is the best. This also is a must for the safety to our community.
