Tustin At a Crossroads

By Ken Morrison

Candidate for Council Member; City of Tustin

This information is provided by the candidate
If Tustin moves in the direction I've outlined, we'll retain our small town charm with the amenities of an urban area, a strong economic foundation, and a safe, enriched, and wholesome quality of life ideal for families.
Tustin residents deserve an independent voice from someone who will be beholden only to them because he refuses to accept money from developers, Sacramento lobbyists and powerful corporations seeking City contracts. As someone with a long and rich history of public service, I see Tustin at a crossroads and I am determined to do my part to ensure that our local governing body retains as much independence as possible in order to preserve and enhance the best that this community has to offer our families.

As we grow and approach the size of a major city, we are subject to the same threats of crime, traffic, pollution, political corruption, and lobbyist and special interest influence as the more visible, large urban areas. If Tustin moves in the direction I have outlined, we will retain our small town charm with the amenities of an urban area, a strong economic foundation, and a safe, enriched, and wholesome quality of life ideal for families.

Tustin can be envied by our neighbors as a progressive community that has the courage and confidence to blaze a trail of efficient, responsive government accountable only to its residents. We can be a model for neighboring communities.
