Current and emerging issues in the City of Brea

By William C. "Bill" Lentini

Candidate for Council Member; City of Brea

This information is provided by the candidate
There are a myriad of issues presently facing our community and more on the horizon. I pledge to do the best I can at representing a balanced, thoughtful and informed approach to solving these problems.
The issues I see facing our community this next term(not in any particular order)are:

1. Continuing to be fiscally prudent yet innovative in the face of economically difficult times.

2. How much and where will development be located?

3. What will we as Brean's do with vacant storefronts and lost services to our citizens in the North/East and Southern sections of our City?

4. The devolopment of a long awaited sports park.

5. Traffic congestion.

6. The tremendous need for the sound walls to be built NOW on West Imperial High Way.

7. Affordable housing.

8. The issue of rent stabilization for modular homes (mobil home parks).

9. Signalization of hazardous roadways such as Carbon Canyon Road.

10. Solving the location and building of the Boy's and Girl's Club to the satisfaction of the surrounding community and the Club.

11. Recruiting and retaining the most qualified employees available to ensure the quality of service given to our citizens.

I believe we all have opinions and ideas regarding these issues and the more input we, as elected official, receive from you, the public, the better informed our decisions on your behalf will be. I pledge to listen to all sides of any issue before making a decision and I am not too proud to change my mind in the light of presented facts.
