Orange County Water Board conflicts of interest

By Timothy L. Johnson

Candidate for Board Member; Orange County Water District; Division 7

This information is provided by the candidate
Increasingly frequent occurrences of board members voting or raising issues where self interests lie.
Orange County, through public officers of days gone by, enjoys one of the best water replenishment and supply systems of most any municipality in California. Unfortunately, this system is slowly succumbing to deceitful political practices. Sadly, increasing public apathy has given many political officeholders an opportunity to function as a mouthpiece for special interests and to use their position for personal gain rather than public service. The public's interest should always be of paramount importance to an elected official. My main reason for submitting my candidacy to the District 7 seat is to increase awareness of unscrupulous practices of some board members. By increasing public awareness, I intend to stop this trend.
