Shall said resolution of the Board of Directors of the Kentfield Fire Protection District imposing a special tax for paramedic services of not-to-exceed Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per year for each living unit as a basic charge be confirmed and the appropriations limit be increased by an amount equal to the proceeds of said tax for each of the next four (4) years?

Impartial Analysis
If this Measure is approved by a two-thirds vote, the Kentfield Fire Protection District will be authorized to impose a special tax for paramedic services not to exceed Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per year on each living unit, and the appropriations limits for such tax will be increased by an amount equal to the proceeds of said tax for each of the next four (4) years.

Arguments For Measure N
Since 1983 the Kentfield Fire Protection District has provided paramedic service through its joint participation in the Ross Valley Paramedic Authority. To fund this service the voters in the Ross Valley have overwhelmingly approved a special parcel tax of up to $30 per year. To continue the present paramedic service for four more years, the special tax is required, by law, to be returned to the voters for re-approval.

  • Measure N will not increase taxes

  • Measure N will allow the continuation of the special parcel tax for paramedic service

  • Vote `YES' on Measure N
