The City`s revenues have not kept up with the demand for services due to sale leakages in Bakersfield i. e. our residents shopping out of town because our city lacks major retailers. The Super Block H Project could be our answer. We need to hire a full time Economic Developer. A project of this size has the potential to give the City the added revenues it needs to keep up with the demand for services. Hiring a part time Economic Developer will not get the results we need. |
