Overview
I'd like to introduce myself as a candidate for CHUSD Trustee. I have served on this board for the past 5 years and look forward to continuing my work for the students of the District. In order to understand my direction, I'll take this opportunity to explain my educational goals for the District.

I have the skills required to adopt a budget, curriculum and policy enabling the District to hold the system accountable. Foremost, I will hold this District accountable to our community to maintain school facilities which enhance Coalinga and plan for future growth. I will hold our administrators responsible for ensuring the certificated staff has the opportunity to continue their educational skills ensuring the enrichment of our students with assistance while adhering to the constraints of our budget. I will see our students are provided every opportunity to succeed. My goal is to see 50% of students at each grade level will score at or above the 50th percentile on the District Criterion Test in Reading and Math and when achieved we continue to improve. Teachers arprehensive teaching, no it is incumbent every student comprehend what is taught, without exception.

Today's standards necessitate raising test scores on standardized and exit exams, therefore, it is imperative students keep aligned with these standards and the college, techical and vocational programs available. Maintaining a proper budget will all the resources to accomplish this by providing the proper programs for success.

I ask for your continued support in my goals to see our District succeeds and continues to move forward in our challenging society.
