Governing Board Member; Rescue Union School District

In 1979, my parents moved to the small town of Rescue because of its rural atmosphere and excellent schools. Now 23 years later, I have chosen to live in the Rescue School District so that my children may experience the same high quality education that was afforded to me.

Since my graduation from the El Dorado Union High School District, I have committed myself to promoting public education at the local, county, state and national levels. During the last 12 years I have served on:

  • El Dorado Union High School District Board, Member 1990-1994

  • Central Sierra Regional Occupation Program, Board Member 1992-1994

  • El Dorado County Board of Education, Board Member District 4, 1994-2000

  • California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly 1996-1998

  • California School Boards Association Board of Directors 1998-2000

  • National School Boards Association Federal Relations Network Member 1994-2000

As a member of the Rescue School Board, you can count on me to be responsive to the voters of the District. I am committed to:

  • Promoting quality education programs in the district.

  • Maintaining a safe learning environment for all students.

  • Providing fiscal accountability to ensure that limited resources are spent wisely.

Over the past twelve years, you have entrusted me to serve as your local school board member and I ask for your vote on November 5th.
