Smart Voter Political Philosophy for David J. "Dave" Ferrari

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Sierra Joint Community College District; Trustee Area 2

This information is provided by the candidate

My philosophy as a continuing Sierra College Trustee is as follows:

  • To listen and prepare well for meetings. Become informed about issues and problems facing the District. Keep an open mind about everthing that comes in front of me.

  • Work to continue providing and increasing educational opportunities for all people while being mindful of budget limitations. Be even more finacially vigilant in these difficult economic times.

  • Work to maintain a high quality, motivated, and dedicated faculty, staff and administration. These people are the backbone of the institution.

  • Make sure that we keep providing the financial aid, career couseling and study labs enabling all those who wish to attend college to achieve their goals.

  • With increasing student demand, explore all opportunities to renovate and build much needed facilities.

  • Look at the District as a whole and make sure that needs are being met in all areas. Make sure that decions made concerning my area #2, are consistent with what is good for the entire District.
