  • Eagle Scout; Chairman of Contra Costa Board of Supervisors' Detention Facility Advisory Committee to redesign the County jail.
  • Chairman, Citizens for Community Involvement; leader of the "Save the Olive Grove" movement to preserve the west hillside of Martinez.
  • Led successful opposition to the 9-story parking garage, construction of a peaker power plant, and a high-density apartment plan for the downtown.

  • Let's revitalize Martinez and preserve its small-town character. I oppose high-density housing downtown and more runaway development south of Route 4.
  • Let's make Martinez a recreational, cultural, waterfront dining, specialty shopping and historic destination.
  • Let's open City government to everyone and ensure necessary resources for maintaining streets and recreation facilities and adequate traffic control.

Self-interested proposals are being made for the "revitalization" of Martinez. They call for high-density housing downtown. A better way to serve the entire community is to return Martinez to its vocation as a destination.

I'm your candidate if you feel city government has left you out, is ineffective in paving streets, stimulating local business, managing the marina, and beautifying the town.
