As an involved community leader, parent and volunteer, I bring experience to MDUSD's Board, strengthening our district's ability to implement responsive, accountable education.

I believe in the potential of our youth. I will work for the

  • finest education for all students;
  • parent involvement;
  • parent friendly schools;
  • exemplary teacher recruitment and retention;
  • a safe, positive learning and work environment;
  • career focused instruction; and
  • adult life-long learning opportunities.

MDUSD's facilities are guaranteed profound, positive change thanks to community wide voter support for the $250 million Measure C bond election held March 2002. Most projects will be completed by September 2005. MDUSD and its students must now meet public and legislative demand for academic excellence.

I believe that my collaborative efforts with the elected trustees, district and school staff, parents, bargaining units, and community will accelerate our progress made these last five years.

Vote "YES" for Linda Mayo - Service, Integrity, Dedication, Experience!.
