Previous proposals to the City council
At the time of the introduction of the new YARD WASTE collection, the City paid for the first 6 months and then the City paid for half of the next 6 months. I met with the city Atty and got guidelines on how to write a new ordinance. I wrote a lot of "Whereas...." and proposed that if the City could afford to pay for the first 6 months they could afford to pay for the next 6 months and the next and the next...making yard waste collection a city service. I presented each councilmember with a copy at the public part of a councilmeeting in March 2001. The council took no action and the residents are now paying.

Government is in your pocket again. The Council did nothing, you did nothing and I did as much as I could.

I have proposed that the new downtown and the Ward devlopment area be named to give recognition to two long-time serving councilmen..Mac Mace and Paul Cooper. The names for the shopping areas would be: Mac Mace Mall and the Paul Cooper Commons. This council took no action. This council needs me as a member to get some of these things done.
