Top Priorities if Elected
  • Service Equity - All people deserve equal access to transit 24/7. For many, service stops running in early evenings and does not run on weekends.
  • Fare Equity - Poor rider pays cash, working full time, costs $66/month. Monthly AC Pass costs $50, BART Plus $22/mo. Ferry riders get tickets free.
  • Improved customer communications - Restore the 24 hour "800" free call system, Post Card Mail Backs, shelters at BART.

Key Endorsements
  • Aliza Gallo, Executive Director Oakland Base Reuse Authority.
  • Matt Naclerio, Public Works Director, City of Alameda
  • Charlie Betcher, Pres. United Seniors, Founder Bus Riders Union
Position Papers
Partnership With BART
The current reality is that there exists an open feud between BART and AC Transit.
"Lifeline of Web Service"
My position is that a "Lifeline of Web Service" is needed to cover the entire district.
Service Equity
AC Transit service map shows the over 100 routes that are lettered or numbered. This display of routes looks impressive. It is, however, very misleading.
