This November our community will elect new trustees to the Newark School Board. Your decision is critical and I appreciate your support. Our children's future begins now!
I am a proven advocate for our children. My knowledge of Newark's schools and background in business and engineering provides me with the expertise to represent your needs and provide new leadership in an environment of economic challenges. Please Vote Charlie Mensinger for School Board.
Newark deserves professionalism, commitment, and dedication from its school board members and I will work hard to meet this challenge. My business and engineering background provides me with unique breadth of perspectives critical to representing your needs. I have been a resident of Newark for 17 years and I have degrees in communications, engineering, and a Masters of Business Administration. We are now facing an era of economic challenges, declining enrollment and revenues. My business background will allow me to help guide Newark Unified School District through these critical times. As a father of four, I am impressed with the teachers and staff throughout the district. We must hire and retain the best teachers and staff, as well as provide a balanced curriculum focusing on achievement and character. As your Trustee, I will work to: • improve test scores • achieve high academic standards • strengthen parent involvement • promote accountability.

Additionally, I will work to: • prepare our children for their future by ensuring literacy for all students • fortify college preparation and advance vocational training; and • strengthen reading ,writing, math, science, music, and the arts. With your vote, together we will help our children continue to succeed while they discover new worlds in the 21st century.
