Dear Neighbor,

My name is Frank Matarrese. I'm a candidate for City Council. As a member of Alameda's Economic Development Commission and Planning Board I gained a reputation as someone who would roll up his sleeves and get things done. A couple of weekends ago I gathered my family, friends and other volunteers to clean up Park Street. We picked up trash, swept, cleaned out gutters and scraped gum off the sidewalks. We all have to do our part to improve Alameda.

My priorities include reducing traffic congestion on our streets, bridges and in the Tube, bringing the City and school district together to improve our schools, rejuvenating Park and Webster Streets and South Shore Center, and bringing good businesses to Alameda to provide job opportunities and quality retail shopping.

These are my priorities. I know you have yours, as well. Please take a few minutes to e-mail me at frank_matarrese@yahoo.com and let me know about any problems or concerns in your neighborhood. Whatever it is - big or small - let me know and I will see what I can do about it.

Working together we can improve our community. I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Frank Matarrese
