  • Berkeley School Board Member since 1998
  • Teacher and Administrator in Berkeley Schools for 32 years
  • Taught at Berkeley High School from 1969-1998
  • Active Teacher Union member; elected to the Executive Council of the Berkeley Federation of Teachers for over 20 years
  • Have lived in Berkeley all my adult life with wife Lenore and raised two children who went from parent nursery to high school in the Berkeley schools
  • Board of Directors of Berkeley Community Media ( BCM) and Berkeley Boosters
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Continue to work towards fiscal solvency and integrity for our District
  • Reorganize Berkeley High School into small schools to serve ALL students
  • Work for a better and closer relationship between the schools and the city.
