OTHER PRIORITIES FOR BART

  • MAINTAIN AT BART STATIONS OUTSIDE THE PAID AREA, CONJUNCTIVELY WITH OTHERS INCLUDING COUNTIES' PUBLIC HEALTH AGENCIES, REFRESHMENT BUILDINGS WITH STALLS FOR MANY PEOPLE CONCURRENTLY, SUCH AS THOSE THE EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT HAS AT QUARRY LAKES REGIONAL PARK IN FREMONT, AND OTHER AMENITIES FOR COMFORTABLE AND PLEASANT CAR-FREE TRAVEL AND FRIENDLY TO ALL AT EVERY BART STATION

Everybody is offended by elevators at Bart Stations serving as commodes. This is not some other agency's business, while Bart directors avoid awareness by personally travelling by car on freeways while they plan heavy construction seismic and line extensions to Bart for decades ahead. Bart is an operator of transportation, and this includes respect for the needs of people on its property, public property. Bart is not all about cars, trains, and tickets. Customer service is important! The customers now!

  • THE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION FOR THE REGION IN TRANSPORTATION; NAMELY, METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION, HAS THE STATUTORY RESPONSIBILITY TO PLAN RAIL IN THE REGION, NOT JUST INCLUDE IN ITS PUBLICATIONS WHAT THE BART BOARD DECIDES AND LOBBY FUNDING FOR IT. REGIONAL PLANNING RAIL MEANS COORDINATION AND HUBS, AND STUDYING ALTERNATIVES AND SYSTEM IMPACTS, NOT JUST PUTTING DIFFERENT AGENCIES' SEPARATE PLANS TOGETHER ON A MAP AND LISTING THEM AS PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED.

  • THE BART BOARD SHOULD MEET IN EACH OF ITS CONSTITUENT COUNTIES NOT LESS THAN ONCE A YEAR, WITH EXTENSIVE LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE, AND NOT ACT AS A CARTEL WITH INDIVIDUAL DIRECTORS GOVERNING PARTICULAR TERRITORY BY COMITY AND WHEELING AND DEALING WITH OTHER OFFICIALS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS INSTEAD OF THE WHOLE BART BOARD LISTENING IN PUBLIC MEETINGS AND TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WHOLE PRODUCT AND PRODUCTIVITY.
