LET'S TAKE POLITICS OUT OF THIS ELECTION!

By Sam Ciraulo

Candidate for Trustee; Fremont-Newark Community College District; Area 1, Seat 2

This information is provided by the candidate
Throughout the campaign, I've been disappointed and disheartened to hear my colleagues who are running for this seat make serious, unproven accusations against current Ohlone Board members. I have heard, in words and in print, the current incumbents being described as "deadwood" simply because they have given a number of years in service to the Ohlone district.

Do we need a fresh approach? Yes. Do we need to disrespect the contributions that the incumbents have made to the District through their years of public service? No.

Let's take politics out of this election. Let's stop the name-calling and the unproven allegations. Let's make this election about the challenges that face our students and our District - and less about political endorsements, special interest money and disrespectful behavior.

As your Trustee, I will put the needs of our students first - and I'll do that in a way that shows respect for our faculty, our administration, our staff and our community.

What better way to take care of our students than to put a teacher on the Ohlone Board?
