GENE MULLIN Age: 64
Occupation: Mayor/Educator

I am the only elected official running in the 19th Assembly District. As a two-term Councilmember and Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, I am campaigning on my experience and record of accomplishments spanning 30 years at the local and regional levels.

My wife Terri and I have lived in San Mateo County for 35 years, and have raised our family here.

As a retired government teacher of 32 years, I have taught some 8,000 students in the district, and was named San Mateo County Teacher of the Year in 1991.

I am Chairman of the SFO Airport Community Roundtable, and serve on the Executive Board of the Association of Bay Area Governments. I also have broad budget experience with four different agencies.

My legislative priorities are improving public education, increasing job opportunities, enhancing public transportation, mitigating airport noise, maintaining community security, and providing access to quality health care and child care programs-- modeled on what we have done locally under my leadership.

I am endorsed by State Senator Jackie Speier, San Mateo County Board of Supervisors' President Mike Nevin, Supervisors Jerry Hill, Mark Church, and Rose Jacobs-Gibson, Sheriff Don Horsley, Controller Tom Huening, over fifty present or former city and school district elected officials, and numerous community and neighborhood leaders.

Because of my belief in campaign finance reform, I have agreed to voluntary campaign expenditure limits.

This district deserves a proven community leader representing its interests in the State Assembly.

I respectfully ask for your vote.

GENE MULLIN Edad: 64
Oficio: Alcalde/Educador
