Candidate for
Member; California State Assembly; District 10; Democratic Party

I am a newcomer to the political arena. What are my qualificacations you ask? I am a husband and father, as well as a concerned citizen. I live in Elk Grove with my wife Nancy and our four children, Zachary (12), Tyler (9), Alexander (7), and Helen (5). I currently work in the insurance industry for State Farm Insurance as an Auto Claims Manager. I have thus far devoted my volunteer time to baseball and soccer leagues, both as a coach and board member of the Elk Grove North Soccer Club. I also volunteer at my children's schools and currently serve on the T.R. Smedberg Jr. High School site council.

I was born in Oakland and raised in Hayward. After High School I moved to Los Angeles where I attended and graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Political Science.

After college, my wife Nancy and I moved to Omaha, Nebraska so I could attend Creighton Law School. After graduation from law school in 1994, we remained in Omaha and I accepted a job with State Farm Insurance in the Omaha field claims office. In 1998 we returned to California with our 4 children and settled in Elk Grove.
