Vote for Kevin Greene for Congress! Endorsed by:
  • Peace Officer's Research Assoc. of California (PORAC), Bay Area chapter
  • Peace Officer's Political Action Council (POPAC), of Alameda Co.

Kevin Greene: On the Issues:

  • I'm a life-long Democrat, supporting the party's agenda and platform.
  • Pro-choice, and opposed to `gag rules' and other impediments to women's access to reproductive rights - rights that shouldn't be dependent on one's income.
  • I'll work for a clean environment and sustainable economic development.
  • I support reform of Social Security to enhance the fund's assets, but I'm firmly opposed to the GOP's privatization schemes - designed to enrich market insiders.
  • I support a strong national defense against terrorism and rouge nations:
    1. Invest our defense dollars in better pay, more training and restocked inventories for existing weapons systems, so our forces have the tools they need to prevail; 2, Opposed to deployment of the unproven `Missile Defense System', a costly boondoggle and a distraction from our preparations for more likely threats; and 3, Invest in a greatly improved intelligence capability, including human assets around the world, so we're not caught flat-footed again - as we were on 9/11/01.
  • I stand for fiscal responsibility, and I'm opposed to further tax cuts until our National Debt is paid down and our future commitments are properly financed and provided for - we've had too much of the GOP's `borrow and spend' scams!
  • I'm firmly opposed to phasing out the Inheritance Tax, and I'll fight to rescind that mistake from last year's Tax Bill.
  • I'll work for major investments in our infrastructure, still ailing from decades of neglect: our transit systems, highways, bridges, hospitals, water systems, schools and universities and libraries all need retrofits and new facilities.
  • I'll promote regional planning and coordination, so urgently needed new housing is built near centers of new and existing jobs. Our people should enjoy their time productively, at work or at home, not stuck in traffic jams in between!

The Bottom Line: I'll stand up for this district, and I'll focus on the practical needs and real concerns of the people I represent.
