What it means to be Green

By Patricia J. "Pat" Gray

Candidate for Member, Green Party County Council; County of San Mateo

This information is provided by the candidate
The ten key values
To represent the Green Party a person must have values that supercede a personal desire for wealth and power. Unfortunately, most of our elected officials value personal wealth and power very highly. It has come to the point that campaign promises are of no value after an election. The actions of a politician can be clearly understood if you "follow the money". This is not the case with the Green Party.

A Green party member has ten key values. We value:

Ecological Wisdom
Grassroots Democracy
Social and Economic Justice
Non-Violence
Decentralization
Community Based Economics
Femimism
Respect for Diversity
Personal and Global Responsibility
Future Focus
