Campaign Finance Reform

By Jo Chamberlain

Candidate for Member, Green Party County Council; County of San Mateo

This information is provided by the candidate
I advocate public financing of election campaigns as the best means of restoring government to the voters.
A little less corruption.

Public financing has the benefit of being less expensive, ultimately, to the taxpayer.

Until public campaign funding is enacted, I propose that campaign contributions of more than $1,000 be included in the definition of conflict of interest for California officials.
