Top Priorities if Elected
  • I will reverse the uncceptable low rate of jury trial convictions. In 2001 jury trial convictions were less than 50%. This is unacceptable.
  • I have never lost a jury trial verdict in my 14 years in Santa Cruz County. I will use that successful experience to prevent case mismanagement.
  • I will stop giving lenient deals to hardened criminals and make sure the entire office shows compassion to victims of violent crime.
