Judicial Philosophy

By Kelly Mac Eachern

Candidate for Superior Court Judge; County of Orange; Office 22

This information is provided by the candidate
fair, unbiased application of the law
A judge should be able to fully perform all of the duties of their office, without a personal agenda, or a list of the types of cases which they cannot or will not be able to hear. A judge should be respectful. All the participants deserve their day in court and the right to a fair and full hearing by the judge. This includes victims as well as the defendants and all counsels. Ajudge should be fair, able to unemotionally weight all the evidence, apply the law and make a decision. A decision which should serve to do justice, to the people, the victims ,as well as the defendants. A judge should be experienced, in serious cases and in all types of matters, felonies and misdemenors, not just experience relegated to administrative hearings and low level types of matters. I have the experience, the temperment and the legal knowledge neccessary to fully perforn the duties of this office.
