Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Chuck Brough

Candidate for
Assessor-Recorder; County of Fresno

This information is provided by the candidate

THE BEST COST-EFFECTIVE, LONG TERM SOLUTION FOR THE ASSESOR'S OFFICE IS A FULLY INTEGRATED PROPERTY TAX SYSTEM

Chuck Brough is extremely knowledgable regarding the relationship between the Recorder, Assessor, Auditor, and Tax Collector functions. With 13 years of experience using a fully-integrated property tax system currently used by 18 counties, he understands the necessity to link many county offices together for efficient and effective administration. A new fully-integrated property tax system is imperative for Fresno County. It is a vital resource for the clerical and appraisal staffs performing the Assessor-Recorder functions of Fresno County. With the advent of SQL servers, window-based applications, secure internet access, and imaging technology, Assessor-Recorder information will be more timely, accurate, and easily available to the staff, the general public, businesses, property owners, the real estate industry, other County departments (e.g., public works) and local governments. With such improved cost-effective efficiency, the Office will be better able to respond to the needs of the residents of Fresno County. To this end, Chuck Brough will work diligently with the new Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector and Information Technology to acquire the best system at the least cost.
