Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jennifer K. Nelson

Candidate for
Superior Court Judge; County of El Dorado; Office 6

This information is provided by the candidate

As a criminal prosecutor, civil trial attorney, and mother of three children who works daily in our courtrooms, I have personally experienced the need for our judges to be more accessible and responsive to the public.

Too often in our county cases are decided based upon politics. Judges need to make independent decisions regardless of the politics involved in a particular case. We need common sense, experienced judges who will protect our community and insure that the legal rights of all people who appear in court are preserved.

I have dedicated my career and volunteer service to making our community a better place for families. While the other counties in California were incarcerating only 10% of adults having sex with minors, I was sending 40% of El Dorado County's child molesters to prison.

We have a wonderful community with much diversity. I will be a driving force for the positive changes that we need.
