I am very enthusiastic about serving the Community as a Councilmember and would be honored to be elected to the position. My experiences running a business, developing the business plan & marketing strategies are a wealth of experience. These experiences will bring me to the position with vast resources and knowledge.

Our city's financial stability is the main key to the future. Maintaining that stability requires impartial review of our community's strengths & weaknesses, then making informed decisions to keep Wyoming a great place to live --and retire.

Recreation is our next threshold to cross. Serving on the Recreation Commission during the development of the 10 year Recreation Master Plan has been an enlightening experience. The Recreation Commission has formed 6 subcommittees: Greenways, Community Center, Aquatics, Buildings & Gyms, Parks & Fields, and Skate Park to study suggested developments in each of these areas. These recommendations will be vital considerations for the future of our community.

While Recreation is under review, Council needs to be looking for the next challenges. Our City's obvious appeal is the outstanding school system, but we must be careful not to become a revolving door for families with school age children. Seniors are vital to keep the community whole and we have to consider their needs as one of our ongoing challenges. We need to evaluate our City Services to ensure well into the future, that they have the proper resources to maintain the high quality our residents expect. Economic growth is our greatest challenge as a land locked community we need to nurture redevelopment of existing commercial property to bring additional payroll tax revenue to the City. This type of redevelopment must not disturb the residential character of Wyoming. It will be WORK to balance all of these needs and deliver the end result successfully. I look forward to the challenge.

Thank you for your consideration, I invite you to attend the "Meet the Candidates Night" sponsored by the League of Women Voters on Tuesday, October 23rd, 7:30pm at the Wyoming Civic Center. Please vote on November 6th and make sure you have a voice in determining the next Wyoming City Council.
