Facilitating business growth in Anderson Township

By Albert F. "Al" Peter

Candidate for Trustee; Township of Anderson

This information is provided by the candidate
The key to Trustees' facilitation of business growth is leadership.
The key to the Board of Township Trustees' ability to facilitate business growth is leadership. Being a limited form of government, townships do not have an ability to deliver direct forms of assistance. Providing leadership and forging relationships among business, government and civic groups is the most effective method of encouraging a growth attitude.

As a business leader myself and a long time resident of Anderson, I am very well qualified to assume such a role.

Some of the specific activities I will undertake are as follows:

  • Provide leadership toward a "business friendly environment" in Anderson.
  • Ensure that business receives a proportionate share of attention and services from Township governmental entities.
  • Develop closer relationships with Anderson business leaders.
  • Facilitate revitalization of Beechmont Mall, following and expanding upon the programs already initiated by the Township.
  • Forge stronger ties to the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Work to provide Township services that are "business friendly".
  • Continue emphasis on safety, beautification, and ease of access to business along Beechmont Ave.
