Board Member; Sycamore Community City School District

As a Cincinnati native and Woodward High School graduate, I've always loved the Queen City and have dedicated my professional life to educating students for the Cincinnati Public School District. I first attended the University of Cincinnati for 2 years before moving to Georgia where I received my Bachelor and Masters degree from Valdosta State College where I graduated with honors. I taught for 3 years there before returning to Cincinnati where I have taught emotionally disturbed students for the past 22 years with Cincinnati Public schools.

When our family moved to Blue Ash in 1982 and our children began participating in Sycamore sports and activities, my husband and I soon realized we, too, were swept up in the excitment of being involved in a great school district that offers so many opportunities to unite as a family and community. During our childrens school years I was very involved with academic issues but also received many awards.

• Certified Surrogate Parent for special education students in foster care.

• Challenging Behavior Specialist (CBS) where I provide peer suport to teachers, administrators and parents who have children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
