Biographical Sketch Susan Mosley-Howard Northwest Local Board of Education Candidate

Dr. Susan Mosley-Howard is Associate Dean/Associate Professor in the School of Education & Allied Professions at Miami University. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University, has a Masters' degrees in Educational Psychology, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Michigan. Dr. Mosley-Howard has served as a Northwest School Board member for 5 years. She is aware of educational issues that impact the learning environment of children and is committed to advancing the Northwest District initiatives designed to provide education for the 21st century learner.

Major issues: Meeting the challenges of producing knowledgeable citizens is a challenge that schools and the community must collectively address. Core issues that impact this work are: 1) keeping pace with technology and the use of information rich resources as tools toward enhancing teaching and learning, 2) providing innovative learning opportunities for all students, and 3) continuing to attract quality education professionals.
