Karla J. Grady Hamilton County Municipal Court Hamilton County, Ohio September 10, 2001

Karla J. Grady has been a Judge with the Hamilton County Municipal Court Court. Judge Grady was instrumental in starting the License Intervention Program (L.I.P) in Hamilton County, a program to help traffic offenders obtain a valid driver status as well as financial responsibility compliance. She is now leading the effort in the development of a Mental Health Court for Hamilton County Municipal Court. Judge Grady is presently acting as one of the liaisons from Hamilton County Municipal Court to the Cincinnati Community Action Now (C.A.N.).

Judge Grady has been a faculty member of the Ohio Judicial College, teaching courses for other judges in the areas of sentencing and motions to suppress. She has served as a mentor judge for the Ohio Supreme Court's Mentor Judge Program. She currently serves as a co-convenor for the Hamilton County Domestic Violence Counsel and is on the advisory board of the Talbert House Driver's Intervention Program. Prior to this she was Chief Prosecutor of the Juvenile Division of the Hamilton County Prosecutor's office. Judge Grady is a member of the Ohio Bar, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Supreme Court. She received her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in 1980.
