Raymond J Acra - candidate for Harrison Township Trustee

By Raymond J. "Ray" Acra

Candidate for Trustee; Township of Harrison

This information is provided by the candidate
Republican Endorsed - 22 Years of Public Service
I am a life long resident of Harrison Township. I live on Thomas lane with my wife Deborah and our three sons Sam, Mark and Eric. Our home has been in our family since 1915. Our family has deep roots in the Harison area which is why I am committed to serve our township. Our current trustees have shown a willingness to turn to the City of Cincinnati and the Metropolitan Sewer District for services as demonstrated in negotiations with the failed Gap project on Simonson Road. I will fight to keep Cincinnati and its problems out of our township. The Harrison area is capable of handling its own needs. I am not going to look at this job as a supplement to retirement or as a stepping stone to another position. Our township has changed drastically in recent years. I think it is time we had a change in Trustees to meet the new challenges we face. We curreently have sheriff patrols for eight hours per day. We need and deserve full time protection. I will meet with our county sheriff to increase our current patrols. I will donate 10% of my salary to Harrison Junior Baseball. This is a non-profit organization that provides recreation to over 600 area children each year. I don't think our township does enough for our area youth. I intend to do more and this is the best way I can think of to start that process.
