1. How would you implement your top priority?

Answer from Darlene Green Kamine:

It is my goal to ensure that each person appearing before me will be treated fairly and justly so that their confidence in the legal system will remain intact and conflicts will be settled in the courtroom, not on the street. To that end I would work to ensure that professionalism is the culture of my courtroom with decisions based on a thorough examination of the facts and well researched law.

Answer from Heather Stein Russell:

I will use my listening and evaluating abilities, which I have honed in 17 years of dealing with judges, juries and witnesses. Having prosecuted Ohio?s most serious crimes, jail must be one answer to crime. I balance this tough stance, as the legal advisor to Hamilton County?s Criminal Diversion program, which treats first time, non-violent offenders, with a focus on rehabilitation. I will advocate for this program in Cincinnati, where it is currently non-existent.
