I believe that my experience as an incumbent member of the Modesto Irrigation District Board of Directors, a businessman and former Chancellor the Yosemite Community College District will continue to serve the MID well as it provides reliable, low cost electricity and water to you its owners and customers. Growth, expansion and improvement is necessary for the District to continue to provide water and electricity to all of its customers, residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural, at prices which are among the lowest in the nation.

Born and raised on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley, I have an interest in, and great respect for, the proper use of our natural resources, particularly water, the electric energy it generates and the crops it produces. With population and economic growth, it becomes extremely important to manage our existing resources wisely while planning for an ever-challenging future.

The future demands that our water rights be protected and preserved and that our supplies and sources of electric energy be maintained and expanded. These are challenges and responsibilities that I look forward to accepting as a continuing Board Member.

I would appreciate your vote. Thank you.
